Lloyd’s List Honours Stars of Middle East

The maritime industry gathered in force in the Joharah Ballroom at Madinat Jumeirah Hotel, Dubai to pay tribute to esteemed companies and individuals who have won recognition in a host of business and marine categories for maritime excellence and achievement throughout the Middle East region. The awards winners were selected by an independent panel of judges. Muhammad Ghannam, Managing Director of Qatar Gas Transport Company (Nakilat) took the award as “Newsmaker Of The Year”. Guests heard that Nakilat will own 54 LNG vessels by 2010, making it one of the largest LNG ship owners in the world.
