NAKILAT AND Q-SHIP NAME FOURTH LPG CARRIER – “LUBARA”
February 6th, 2009 SOUTH KOREA South Korea, February 6th, 2009 – Today Qatar Gas Transport Company Ltd. (Nakilat) and Qatar Shipping Company Q.S.C. (Q-Ship) named “Lubara”, the final ship in a series of four Very Large Gas Carriers (VLGC’s), at a naming ceremony held at Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. shipyard located at Ulsan City, South Korea. 
Nakilat and Q-Ship through a 50:50 Joint Venture Agreement established a special purpose company, “Gulf LPG Transport Company W.W.L.” to manage and operate the four 82,000m3 capacity carriers. Three of the ships, “Bu Sidra”, “Umm Laqhab” and “Al Wukir” have been delivered and “Lubara” will be delivered by March of this year.
