GULF LPG TRANSPORT COMPANY OF QATAR AND MITSUI O.S.K. LINES START VLGC POOl
January 26, 2009 Doha, Qatar Doha, Qatar, January 26th, 2009 – Gulf LPG Transport Company W.L.L of Qatar (Gulf LPG) today announced the formation of VLGC Pool “LPG GLOBAL TRANSPORT” together with Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. of Tokyo (MOL). 
Gulf LPG Transport Company W.L.L is a 50:50 joint venture company between Qatar Gas Transport Company Ltd. (Nakilat) and Qatar Shipping Company Q.S.C. (Q-Ship) specifically formed to own and operate four Very Large Gas Carriers (VLGC’s). For the purpose of Pool’s commercial management, Gulf LPG and MOL have jointly incorporated “LPG Global Transport Management Inc.” which has entered into commercial management agreement with both Gulf LPG and MOL. The Pool will start operation immediately from this January. With this arrangement, “LPG GLOBAL TRANSPORT” will be able to offer enhanced services to LPG Charterers and create efficiencies by optimizing costs through efficient deployment and economy of scale of the combined fleet.
